This is from one of his later albums, a cover of a Tom Petty track, top song and his voice was still excellent.

Glen Campbell interpreta "Walls" de Tom Petty en The Chris Isaak Hour (03/12/2009)

Yes, very well sung. The tune was very Tom Petty. There were a lot of musicians there and a steel guitar too.

That was lovely to listen to. Thank you for putting it on Jd.

Great song thanks JD.

Loved Hywel Bennett's film 'The Family Way'.  I had a teenage crush on him many, many moons ago.

Glen Campbell had such a beautiful voice.  Even after he left The Beach Boys and his hits were more slower in tempo, he still had that hot summer open air feel.

Glen was never a full time member of the Beach Boys but he did a 4 month fill in for Brian Wilson during a tour in the mid sixties. Glen was a long time member of a band of session musicians known as the Wrecking Crew who accompanied many well known artistes in the Sixties. He did play guitar on Pet Sounds but didn't receive a mention on the album credits, he also played on Frank Sinatra's Strangers In The Night Album and several of Phil Spector's studio hits inc. You've Lost That Loving Feeling.

Here's another song from the covers album he did in 2009, a Jackson Browne track this time.

Off the "Meet Glen Campbell" album and performed on AOL sessions. The song itself was written by Jackson Browne when he was only 16. It's a great choice for Glen to put on the album and an excellent live performance.

Another one from the same show, a Green Day cover this time.

R.I.P. Brucie.  We have all grown up with you.

Just heard that US Rockabilly legend, Sun recording artist Sonny Burgess and one of my favourites has died.  Nearly every year he would come to the UK to perform.  I saw him a couple of years ago - I got a photo and an autograph.  Even in his late 80s, boy could he rock.
