This is the original version but which of the other versions do you like best?

Carl Belew sounds the best to me, but I like this one by Stu Phillips:

I like several versions, Billie Jo Spiers, Charlie Pride but I think that for me, the original version of that song is my preferred "best".

I don't know about you but for songs, it's not always the original version that's "best" is it? Sometimes the original version of a song not only got little airplay but it wasn't very good either and later, someone else does it and it becomes a hit?

Very true.  The song, the singer and the production have to come together to make that magic combination that makes a hit. Doesn't always work out first time.

Lots of lists here:

Some of those old singers really could sing.

I wonder if this should be for Al & Petal?:-

Long intros... Well, some can be quite effective as a lead-in. This one, just above, in my opinion is very effective:

If I don't like an intro to a video I'm posting on YouTube, I just add a piece of jump-to code to the end of the link -  for those unaware of it, adding &t=25 to the end of a YouTube link will cause the video to start 25 seconds into the video. Unusually, I cut nearly two and a half minutes from the intro start of this one...

There's a few things with the same title, the BBC did a play of some sort with that title too.

Some songs are very repetitive and sometimes you wonder what on earth the writer was on when he "wrote" the song? One such is the following (read the full lyrics if you can find them, most have been shortened):-

A beautifully haunting piece of music by Max Richter from the soundtrack of the movie 'Arrival'. I think part of it was used in Shutter Island too. Starts out quite melancholy, almost mournful  but develops into something very uplifting.
