Stereo mix, clean, different in so many ways then the mono we got in the USA. The echo on Mikes voice at the bridge is much longer spread out, the detail in Daves work is so clean this could have been recorded yesterday.

This was the follow up to the better known San Francisco (Flowers In Your Hair) sounds like a Jimmy Webb song. Scott McKenzie had a very melodic voice.

He certainly did and his voice wasn't bad either. Here's his own version of Galveston, one of a number of hits he wrote for Glen Campbell.

'Galveston' by JIMMY WEBB -from the 1972 album LETTERS- -Regarded by many critics as Jimmy's best solo album, "Letters" finds Webb working in a number of styles, but none quite so devastating as his simple, acoustic rendition of the hit made popular by Glen Campbell, 'Galveston'.

I watched the documentary "I'll be me" about Glen Campbell and his battle with Alzheimer's a few weeks ago,it was sad really,in a part of the film Campbell was asleep in bed and his wife awoke him to say he was perfoming that night,he seemed to have no idea where he was,it just seemed cruel to keep pushing him, sadly now he is in a home but probably being treated with a bit more respect !

"I Can't Quit Her" song n.7 from the Album "Child Is Father to the Man" (1968) by Blood, Sweat & Tears. This is one of my favorite songs of this great Big Band and since that on youtube there were only video audio quality very bad I felt the need to make one in audio in HQ as always. Good ...

A track from Chicago when they were a credible band featuring Terry Kath, a little known but superb guitarist. Another one who died tragically early
