Only found out yesterday that, Leon Russell (Bluesy Singer, songwriter and multi-instrument player) died in Aug

His career lasted 60 years, reasonably well known in the US, but You would have heard him on loads of other peoples records, like the Stones, Dylan, Beach Boys, Sinatra and many many more

He was a member of Delaney and Bonnie for 2 years ( late 60s supergroup, a bit like an early Travelling Wilburys)

He was Elton Johns hero, Elton copied His playing style on the keys

He wrote 'A Song for You' & 'Superstar' for the Carpenters - 'Delta Lady' Joe Cocker - 'Shine a Light' the Stones &

Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning  (US time)

That is Pacific time - so about 4 pm GMT

Saddened by the news of Rick - saw Quo at their farewell tour at Crystal Palace, brilliant live act and made for a great day.  Saddened by the news of Liz Smith - she made me smile.  Totally shocked by the death of George Michael - wonderful voice and immensely talented.  Sorry to hear about Richard Adams - Many moons ago, the film of Watership Down encouraged me to read The Plague Dogs, that was a tear jerker as well.

The beautiful Star Debbie Reynolds 84 has died after suffering a stroke

Such a very touching picture, as if now Mum and Daughter are walking towards their togetherness for ever. 

May they Rest in Peace. 

And all who have sadly passed away in 2016. All such a great loss. May they too Rest in Peace. 

Gosh what a tragedy for the rest of their family, to lose two in as many days.
