Your photographers had better luck than the man who drove 50 miles and waited in a good spot to take a photo, only for a Virgin train to go by in front of it !
Still, I gather Virgin offered him a free trip to trainspot in Atlanta via Virgin Airways, so not such a bad day after all.
The picture, Flying Scotsman passing Lothian View, North of the Forth, looks more like a painting than a photograph to me.
