Roger Nichols,, aged 84, never heard of him? You'll sure have heard the songs he wrote for the Carpenters? Like "We've Only Just Begun". Mind you, I like this version:-
I saw The Beach Boys in either 1975 or 76 at Wembley. It was mainly a gig for Elton John he was supposed to have been the high-light of the day but it was a boiling hot and with their summer songs and they were all wearing gold sequined jackets they absolutely stole the show. The Eagles were also on the bill but not many people knew who they were then.
