Through a mutual friend I once offered someone a job doing a bit of occasional housework but was turned down.
She did it eventually though it did require me to marry her. ![]()

I actually enjoy keeping a house clean. My problem is fighting past all the valuable artefacts/junk the man brings in, leaves in heaps, and refuses to move, or let me move. I file stuff, he doesn't. I keep outside stuff outside...he doesn't. I throw out empty boxes, old papers and broken stuff, he doesn't. So even if I spend every available hour polishing etc, the place still looks a mess. As I said up there^^^^ Steptoe and Son, with bells on. 😀😂
Sounds like my wife's bedroom ![]()

Bank, the word 'desperation' comes to mind. There really are better ways of solving a problem.

My oh made some remark about dust on the tv...we have a coal fire so you'd need to clean it every 5 mins. My mother would. She needs an operation to have the damp cloth removed from her hand.
Anyway, he made some snipy comment, so I said I'd dust the TV..again...if he cleared the kitchen table (you'd have to see it to understand)
He told me to leave the dust.
No one has a kitchen table like ours.😱ðŸ˜
You better not let your hubby see this:

No court could see this place and fail to sympathise with me.
Since I'm not allowed to move his stuff to clean, and his stuff covers every available surface- tables, chairs, floors- he would be found to blame. There was an old computer table in the lounge he agreed I could chuck out...a miracle in itself. I put it in the kitchen as it was pouring all week, to wait for bin day. Within 24 hours it was loaded with 'valuable artefacts' - tools, papers, car bits and 8 years on, it is still there, lost in a sea of other stuff that has been stacked on the floor all along that wall.😡
Court? Bring it on! 😂😄

Thanks ladies, I'm taking all these comments on board to use as ammo against the wife.
