Remember the "Mumber Snipers" thread?

Was it Phil who put an "M" (studio pots etc) instead of an "N"?

Anyway, very few seem to play the game these days so is it because the old hands (who knew about it) have gone to pastures new and "newer" members don't know about or is it something that posters either can't be bothered with or are simply fed up with it?

There was the obvious "00" but there was also the "69" and the highly prized "reversi" (= reads the same forwards as well as backwards). Were there any others?

An ex sniper, here. I have bagged a few snipes, but don't work at it. Snipers was more than just a sniping thread. It was a friendly haven and many of us met up in real life. At least 2 ex snipers have died, one very recently.

These boards ...the format...don't lend themselves to the spirit of sniping in the same way the boards did back then.

The board is too slow to play now..I just seen i have 700 posts thats a snipe..

The boards are too clumsy for sniping. The snipes I have had have been as much by accident as design.

One thing which throws the number count is that this is #8 but on the front page it'll show as 7.

I still manually snipe on ebay

But never on a Sunday - ebay too busy great feeling when you win after sniping with a couple of seconds to go

Remember sellers & buyers used to come on the RT for sympathy after being sniped - Wrong place
