This was caused by an infected piece of softwear. Please close your browser, spray computer with a strong solution of Dettol and Domestos, and finally wipe with a soft dry cloth.

Your pc should now be ready for use.

Followed your instructions and threw in a splash of Jeyes Fluid for good measure. My page is working fine now however opening up Ebay after clearing history etc results in a seemingly endless page which could fill an Encyclopedia.
