Hi Al
I always use reply so that I can't print in bold, it's easier to read and see typos. My eyesight isn't what it was.

As Bill said earlier I think all the options aren't available because the page layout is different for IE than for Firefox.

I just tried clicking the compatibility button, all it has done is arranged the text editor icons in a vertical column instead of left to right across the top. It still doesn't give me an HTML box just Rich Text and Preview as before. ![]()
Will try the next step.

I don't seem to be able to turn off Hardware Acceleration either, when I check the box the Apply button isn't highlighted so I can't disable it.

JD, just as I've always done. Leaving aside PB which I think is rubbish now - after years of using the same method of uploading pics, it now won't allow me to. When I post the URL in the 'Upload' field, a simple enough task that, as I say, I have always employed for donkey's years, it now orders me to use a correct URL. - *confused.com* - I now use IMGUR instead, for uploading.
But I digress. Posting images from the net. Right click the image. On the drop-down menu, go to the bottom and click 'Properties'. Copy this and paste it into the HTML field on your posting page. Then at the beginning of the address type in the HTML code (<"img src) and at the end of the address (">) Ignore the parentheses. Then return to your message (Rich Text field).
I don't know of any other method, but that one works for me.

JD....as you were ! I have just realised that I've given you a moody HTML code in the above post. *memo to self - must slow down*
The correct code is as follows:
<img src="(Address)">
I do hope you didn't try the other one first. Sorry about that. *sniggers*
What's up Petals ? Been eating something that didn't agree with you ?

You wouldn't be suggesting he ate something here that disagreed with him, would you Embsie? Of course not!

Good morning btw. Good to see you back here.

As I said earlier, I don't have an HTML option or the little mountain icon on my reply page. I don't think I'll spend any more time on it, I'd be pulling my hair out by now if I had any to spare. ![]()

Well that's most odd, JD. So you don't have a 'Rich Text' - 'HTML' - 'Preview' box, at the very top of your page ?
"Curiouser and Curiouser", cried Alice.
Could you do a screen shot of what you see ?

Ah, Willums. Good Morning/Good Afternoon/Good Evening - whichever is applicable, sirrah.
Just reminded me there when you mentioned food. Is it true that you are to play the lead role, in the RT's version of 'Sweeny Todd - On Ice' ? Not for any acting prowess you understand (or skating skills for that matter), but for your past experiences in the culinary arts ?
Just heard it on the grapevine. Well it could have been Margs that told me, but there again I could be wrong.

Like I said Embs, I have Rich Text and Preview but not HTML and I'm also missing a couple of the text edit icons.
Yes it is curious and no I can't post a screen shot, I can't post anything picturewise.

Sorry JD, just scrolled back and noticed you mentioned that in post # 6345.
I'm sure it's nothing that you've done personally. Computers have a nasty and irritating habit of doing things without any help from the user. They have a mind of their own. Why not nip over to the 'Community' forum and speak to aernethril, or otherego in the 'Techie' dept ? You could even page them in your thread headline.
Just a thought, but they may be able to help.
