Like I said above, Clifford probably did what he was accused of but the only "evidence" was what a group of people said.

Now if you were worth a few bob and a group of people you know/knew made complaints about you using similar "believable" scenarios, how would you defend yourself in the face of a prosecutor making a strong case to convince a jury?

All you could do would be to deny it all and hope the jury believe you.

If you had always been a nice, decent, inoffensive person, they might. If you had always been an arrogant, smooth, manipulative, overconfident even cocky individual and came over as just that in Court, they probably wouldn't believe you whether you were innocent or not.

The Law on evidence needs some revision?

Yes, all of those things you said he was, and I can think of a few more, but that was his daughter by his side. Can't have been easy for her to sit through all the court proceedings. It wasn't her that was facing the jury. His reputation and career has been torn to shreds, and he faces a jail sentence. And rightly so.

But despite all this, you know what they say about blood being thicker than water.

I expect the others like Rolf Harris will be in court again soon wont they??. I think he had another date coming up. I was shocked to the core about HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Legal experts say Clifford faces at least two years in jail, as the judge will have to use guidelines in force when the offences were committed in the 1970s and 1980s.

If the offences had been committed in the last decade, he could have been given a life sentence because two of the guilty verdicts on a 15-year-old female victim involved serious sex crimes.
