EBay app failed to update

This week the eBay app failed because my iPhone 7 will not update to ios16.

Why oh why didn't eBay leave a legacy version live so I can continue using the app?

Anyone know if there is any pressure being put to bear or plans for a solution?

I can of course use the website but it looks quite different.

Of course I could go on eBay and purchase an iPhone 8 or newer but that is somewhat counter-intuitive.

Just throw away your car next time too! No need to recycle these days
anyway. Trump, drill baby drill. No such thing as climate change in the
USA. All companies to compete must (Trump) downgrade to the lowest form of
social status. EBay have no choice either. Well done the world powers, and
these old boys who have got nothing to lose (simply past it!)

This solution certainly works on my iPhone SE IOS v15.8.4

1. Delete the app

So, if you are using Safari what you can do is - Open the Safari app Go to the website you want to add to your home screen Tap the Share button, which looks like a square with an arrow pointing out Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen Choose a name for the shortcut Tap Add

Then just join up the dots as the site texts you etc

I'm the same, I didn't know eBay was in league with apple they upgrade app then it won't run your phone, you the have to upgrade your iPhone, fedup with this I'm going to ventage, they say it to improve app how can it improve app when it won't run.
