I was looking to buy a classic car when I spotted a seller offerring nearly 1000 cars at very low prices. The first picture showed the car and the second a screen saying to email a gmail address for further details. Needless to say I didn't! How do I report this to ebay before someone does lose money?
On every listing ....half way down to the right you will see "report this listing"
" before someone does lose money?"
While not condoning criminal activity - No one can lose money unless they totally and willingly cooperate with the scammer.
To lose money a buyer would have to throw commonsense out the window, pay a large sum of money by Bank Transfer to a seller they have never met for a Vehicle they have never seen and which the seller almost certainly does not have.
That is what is meant by actively co-operating with a scammer. There is no way to recover a gift by bank transfer.
Ebay remove these when reported, but lots more come back.
