What do you think is the best Christmas advert this year?

I found the JL one to be a disappointment and the Smyths Toys one disgusting.

I thought the best one was for Boots. I happen to really like the original song too so what's your likes and dislikes?

Certainly not the Smyths one, that knocked me sick, I hadn't even known who it was until now.

I'll have to have a think about the others.

Can’t say that the Smyths Toys advert is innovative or particularly good but why “disgusting”?

Because they chose to promote the word "snot".

Kids love Snot - they love anything gunky.

Oh and ALL the profits from the sale of Snot go to St Ormond Street Hospital - that’s not disgusting!

They could have called it something more palatable. There's no need to encourage kids to use the type of words which are not acceptabe in polite company.
