What happens to modern ivory??

I'm sure we all know that to try to stop the killing of elephants the sale or use of modern ivory is banned. 

So what has happened to all the elephant tusks from animals that died of natural causes since the ban was introduced??

There Was A 60 Year Old That Died A Few Days Ago That Had Tasks That Touched The Ground

I know the huge mounds of poached ivory they find is burned - I've seen it on the telly.  I assume ivory from natural deaths is burned too.  To allow it to be used would just add to the desire to have it.

There is always some one greedy enough to exploit such majestic animals for riches. It will never be wiped out altogether.
