As many of you will be aware I am keen on supplementing the diets of our hard pressed wildlife and have written threads in the past on the subject, I have also been aware of the vegan cause which is a lifestyle choice which should not be imposed upon anyone, I am certain that veganism is a bad choice for natural omnivores like humankind and that it will be a disaster if imposed on everyone, I suppose it is a case of live and let live, and please allow folk to make their own lifestyle choices!

I would say he knows rather more about writing / selling books than he does about gardening and wild-life.  I had one of Chris Baines books for many years, full of sound and very practical advice.  This nutters ideas will only lead to garden that looks like a disaster area, useful to nothing and no-one.

I know a local Farm needs a special licence to use Human waste sludge, on their land

and it still stinks

But from a scientific report --

Although it contains useful organic matter it can also be a source of disease or toxic amounts of micronutrients if used incorrectly

Reminds me of the time a farmer agreed to empty the septic tank at a local hostlelry, he then drove it less than half a mile to our private lane and proceeded to empty said contents onto the surrounding fields from the lane, trouble is there were a lot of trees which became adorned with pink and white tissue and a remarkable number of condoms! Which hung like elongated baubles from the branches not a pretty sight🤭

In the name of progress they will soon want everyone to give up anything with combustion engine, power stations because they pollute, houses so they can plant more trees and crops.

Mmmm did I say progress ! maybe I should have said regress !
