If you think that's bad look at this one

As someone commented in the Guardian:
"If anyone had claimed benefits for years for which they were not entitled, they would not simply be given the option of repaying them and then carrying on like nothing had happened. A benefit claimant would be put in prison - quite possibly a Serco run prison.
But the same rules do not apply to Serco, its senior managers and its directors. They are protected by powerful friends, and by the need to protect the ideology which says that private sector outsourcing must always be a good thing.
Any large contract will have some discrepancies in the accounting, but £68m is wholesale. I wonder how long the SFO will be told to sit on their enquiry until the government decides that the issue has gone cold enough to drop it."
And to think these fraudsters want to run the probation service, you couldn't make it up

Don't forget to add ATOS to this list, (yes first brought in by Labour)
but it's the use that Iain Duncan Smith, the DWP & others are using them thats the main problem
And that their actions, can mean they get paid twice (2nd time for even more money) for a high % of the People who deal with them. They 'fail' people and guess who deals with the appeals and re-assessments, yip ATOS
Plus they are NOWHERE near as successful as the media and IDS makes out, at cutting numbers
As was exposed during IDSs grilling by a Commons select committee, that lasted over 2hrs , that story managed to keep off the Front Pages, due to the Mandela debate in the House of Commons going on at the same time.
Just like IDSs announcement that the introduction of Universal Credit wasn't working ( after making headlines recently that it was all going brilliantly and according to plan), He managed to sneak that out, same time as Osborne released his 'Autumn statement' which took all the media attention.
That doesn't count the numbers who do win their appeals, meaning more costs involving the DWP
another similarity between ATOS, Serco & G4S and throw in Capita, another Government contractor
They PAID NO Corporation Tax , while running over £6bil UK Government contracts last year

They need to rewrite their web site "about us" blurb to be more in keeping with the major mismanagement of the company...
http://serco.com/about/index.asp
Civil Servants responsible for awarding their various contracts need to be investigated as well.
Ineptitude and a lack of basic business ethics seems to be the modus operandi of most of these companies.

It's on par with handing Savile keys to broadmoor. A sane person just wouldn't.
