Maybe many are already aware of 'Streetlife'. Just I felt maybe anyone not in the know, would like to know about it.
It is found on the internet for your local area.
Any things like lost and found items, places of interest to visit, even places to go to over the Christmas Period.
So many things can be asked there. Even about anyone who can decorate locally, help with repairs, cleaners, ironers, etc. Well worth a visit to Streetlife.

Never heard of it before. Just checked out my local site and it seems very useful and friendly, thanks for posting.

I belong to one called streetbank. I've given away loads of stuff, and also asked for and received loads of stuff. I've made 2 new friends into the bargain. I grow fruit and veg and always have more than I need, so I often have people popping round for a few pears, or some broccoli. You can swap skills too - there are people who do someone elses gardening in exchange for sunday dinner or a nice home baked cake. And you can offer stuff to lend. A total stranger lent me a metal detector when I had lost something. People offer sewing services, and tutoring for your kids - all sorts. I love it.
