Something which really annoys me ...

Whever I sell an item, which tbh isn't too often, I always message or email the winning bidder to inform them of the progress of their item, ie it's packed, posted, en route to the courier, collected by the courier or whatever. If I haven't been able to opbtain an accurate cost for posting I always refund any excess which they have paid but it's a very rare occasion indeed than anyone bothers to say so much as thanks. It makes me wonder why I bother. Am I expecting too much or do people not have any manners nowadays ?

Hello

Some do have manners others don't !!

eBay sends all the remainders/let the buyer know that item has been posted & else (that is if you mark item as sent next to item sold) & you will get 5* if you have had no communication with buyer

I used to let buyer(s) know also about the progress of their item(s) & then stopped doing it as majority were not concerned as much !!

However if there is a problem you will be sure to get a message from buyer & some are qwuite nice about it & other(s) are not so !!

Manners cost nothing but this is the world we live in I am afraid to say !!

Hope this helps Woman Happy

Manners are a learned characteristic, dependant on upbringing...................that in itself explains it all.

I also inform any buyer that item has been dispatched so they can look out for its arrival in the next day or to . I also state that in the event of any query they should contact me using the " other " option .....my message is polite and helpful.

In this way I hope that in the event of an INR I would be able to avoid a " dreaded " defect .....no such luck ......just got my first .....

As stated it does make you wonder !
