Police searching for escaped terror suspect Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed have confirmed that they've so far arrested 4 ninjas, 15 postboxes and Batman.
I missed this post

Now what's Tommy up to ?

I have to agree with creeky on this one ,in that until its made clear what he had been arrested and held for its not agreeable to arrest people ,so what has he done ?
The fact he ran away kinda gives me the alarm bells on the rest of this because.. why run ? innocent people as a rule of thumb hang around stubbornly to prove innocence. This in itself makes T MAY saying ''if they run they run'' (shoulder shrug ) a bit of a warning how much use the govs are at anything they do (for us)
Hope they catch him before the possible worst scenario happens and then if innocent we can debate why arrest and if guilty of something atrocious the we can sack all involved with any luck..

He ran because.............:-

It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.

ok but why run ,all hes accused of are not complying to restrictions that are at the moment confusing as to why at the moment ...if innocent
09-11-2013 7:54 PM
ps
so why run 🙂
09-11-2013 8:12 PM
Isn't it obvious?
He's not been complying with his bail conditions and knew he'd be sent back to jail.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.

not obvious to me tbh cd, the stuff hes accused of looks pretty petty to me and hardly worth a prison sentence, but isnt that creeky's point as well ? why is this guy in this boat exactly ?
09-11-2013 8:28 PM
ie lol what is he running from ? why run ? how bad is this guys solicitor/crimes/set up to run ? I would stand my ground if I were innocent of just keeping friends who do not like western world but hadnt done anything wrong
am i being daft pls 🙂

So if the substance of that article is to be believed, this man was brought to the UK against his will, placed under restrictions on his movement, internet access, having a mobile phone and who he can associate with and is now due to face criminal charges for not complying with those restrictions.
I think a word used quite often on another thread is appropriate in this case
BONKERS

I agree creeky ,absolutely
but in the case against him ...why run ?,my point

Well this is pure speculation but if he never wanted to be in this country, was brought here against his will, maybe h's trying to get out of the country?
09-11-2013 9:13 PM
get in the queue mohamed lol
but yes either So would I if innocent,or this is a very dangerous man and what the hell is going on in our police/govs minds ?
09-11-2013 9:16 PM
ps sorry joe, this has little to do with the humour of thread originally intended, but hey ,its a debate 🙂

This of course is just one man, what of the hundreds of Brits who have gone to fight for the "free Syrian army" ? You can bet that their phone calls and emails were being monitored, perhaps if they had gone to fight for the Syrian army instead they would have been detained?
who knows? Society will have to live with what they learned, saw and did for years to come
And i agree with Creeky on this:
"The whole idea that a citizen can be limited in their movements, restricted in their activities and told who they can meet by a politician, without any of the claimed "evidence" being tested, stinks in my opinion.
Maybe you are one of the very few who believe that politicians never do anything other than what is in the best interest of the majority and can be 100% trusted to always do the 'right thing' then fine - I however, (and I suspect the vast majority of people), am not in that camp!"
Well we;ve had pre emptive arrests ahead of the royal wedding in 2011,how long before we have the same happening to any group planning a protest against the government of the days policies?
And as far as the old argument goes "well if you've done nothing wrong"....... give over

Joe, I do get where you and The Creekstah (lol) are coming from.
What could start off as a small breach of one group's human rights could eventually turn into a total dicatorship where anyone could find themselves imprisoned just because someone in power has decided that they don't like their choice of knitwear etc - I do get that, you know.
And I also know that I'm letting my fear and loathing of terrorists cloud my judgement.
BTW I feel the exact same way about drug dealers and anyone who has any kind of links with them... no matter how tenuous.
Maybe I'm old school but I believe that anyone who lies down with dogs, shouldn't be too surprised when they end up being accused of having fleas!!

I agree - but would you drag that person with fleas into your home and then not only refuse to let them leave but tie them up in case they tried to?

It is rather sad and possibly alarming that so many people are perfectly willing to cast aside laws made for the protection and freedoms of the ordinary individual when they themselves don't feel they will suffer as a consequence.
The law protects everybody, not just those we approve of.
