OK, in or out?

How about an RT poll?

No reasons, no argument, no debate just a straightforward IN or OUT.

Me? OUT.

Re: OK, in or out?

I wonder where this upheval will leave the Euro?

With some countries considering their future in the EU and some pressing for their own referendum, what happens to the (once) mighty Euro? Will those countries be also thinking of reverting to their original national currency?

As to the EU itself, I wonder if the Eurocrats have forgotten the longevity claims of the Thousand Year Reich?

Re: OK, in or out?

Further to your thread overleaf regarding 'Noxious Nicola', old Fishface has apparently been cosying up to Sadiq Khan - another one where the word 'cunning' springs to mind - regarding the quagmire that is Brussels.

  • SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon says she's spoken to Sadiq Khan today
  • She said 'there is clear common cause between us' after Brexit vote

Re: OK, in or out?

I wonder which country will actually go for a referendum?

After seeing the result of the UK vote, I wouldn't mind betting all of the leaders are far too scared to risk a vote.

Re: OK, in or out?

Sturgeon's sidekick, the Fat Controller (Salmond), has just been on 'GMB' trying to shore up her Independence stance. Unable to secure a link - perhaps it's too soon. Anyway, who wants to look at his bloated countenance over their Cornflakes ? His parting shot was: "Just give Nicola the keys to the Kingdom". Said tongue-in-cheek, but I suspect he meant it.

Re: OK, in or out?

I know, in effect, somebody has to lead the way and as usual ( as history substantiates ) it's us...........but as other countries ( who it cannot be denied, are not happy with the EU ) realise they may have an ally, OUTSIDE of the union; they may have the courage to do what they really want to do and leave. Once that movement starts and more and more countries have allies outside of the EU, that are forged out of mutual friendship and respect ( not a desire to control and rule ) hopefully it will be the EU architects that are under siege. I see today that a Czech politician has slagged off Jean-Claude Juncker as representing everything people hate the most about the EU. Don't forget, all these poorer countries, that are lined up to join the EU and those that are in it already; are going to need financial handouts ( why do you think they join ).  In order to receive that, it is going to have to come predominantly from the richer countries in the EU........and one of the richest and the WORLDS 5th richest economy, has just voted to leave........so don't expect THEM to be happy ( and it will probably be the EU they blame for their attitude......that caused it ).

Re: OK, in or out?

That and Silver etc. are the traditional commodities that people pile into, when currencies are weak; although, in this instance, the weakness is not due to recession.......but speculation. That's what you get with free, open and uncontrolled markets........speculators making millions out of other peoples misery.........and in some cases deliberately manipulating it to their own benefit.  Apparently, that's OK though in a democratic, caring society.............couldn't be the money men calling the shots again could it ??

Re: OK, in or out?

Heseltine made an interesting observation this morning regarding the negotiations that now have to take place with the EU.  He pointed out that if the results of talks and the trade deals struck aren't to everyone's liking then those who were in favour of leaving will blame the negotiators not the fact that we have left.

His solution, which sounds perfect to me, was to put Boris, Farage and Gove in charge of the negotiations.

Re: OK, in or out?

While the turmoil continues I have to ask what has actually changed? Yes the referendum has been completed and we have decided to leave the EU though we do want to trade with it. So the result was declared without any immediate timetable and the remaining members of the Bullingdon club who chose the lucrative financial sector to fund their silver spoon lifestyles, start gambling with peoples lives for fun. Where is the justification for this, they do not yet know the terms of any new agreement so they are simply gambling and doing so before all the horses have signed up to race. This is all fodder for the press, Cameron has said let the brexits sort it out and he is quite right to do so.

At times like this surely we should pull together and defend our right to be heard and to tell those who feel they can capitalise out of this to go forth and re settle in the cayman islands.

Re: OK, in or out?

I find it perplexing how the almighty US Dollar remains steadfast & the measure by which all others conduct business, when the political system of the country itself; makes it practically ungovernable..........talk about being too big to fail !!............not right..........just too big to be wrong.........how rich is THAT !!

Re: OK, in or out?

Actually what he said was that they are the only ones who have the credibility to negotiate the deal.

Re: OK, in or out?

What I said - don't understand your point ?

From your link -

""Let's face up to it. Unless you put them in charge and they're seen to be in charge, they will simply say that the negotiators screwed it up and the debate will go on." He added that he believed voters were misled about "the potential of a better world"."
