It seems that pupils in a school in Newmarket have been bamboozled by an educational error.

They have been told to read up on Bram Stoker's Dracula when the test was actually about Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. There's a big uproar about getting the pupils up to speed on the proper text after 8 months of study on the wrong book. The actual test is in two weeks.

OK, here's a thought, seeing as how knowledge of either book isn't going to do them much good in the real world, why not just get the experts to write a set of questions on the subject that they HAVE been reading up on. After all, it wasn't the pupil's fault that they were reading up on the wrong story?

There was a woman who went into a bookshop with a list of books her son asked to get for his college courses.

First one on the list was Jane Ayre Laid Bare.

Apparently he thought it would be a better read than the original. 🙂

The Dracula reading was something for the pupils to get their teeth into...

But in reality the Frankenstein reading was the nuts and bolts of their thesis...
