How do you say Kamala? I've heard it pronounced "Kah-mar-la", "Kamela" (like Pamela), "Kam-ah-la" and "Kam-uh-luh".

Sooooo, what's the "proper" way to pronounce the name of Kamala Harris (VP of the USA)?????

I asked my friend Mr / Mrs Google     and they came out with this phonetic version 

ka·muh·luh ha·ruhs

Now,  we're  having arguments in the house.   Hubby is convinced that is wrong,   and he's heard her and people around her,   announcing her name ,  it's sounds,   he says  ( and who am I to argue with him indoors),   a bit like comma .. la  Like Pamela ,  com a la.

Gonna wait and listen to the news !!
