Poor April, poor parents.
Now put him in the hardest prison around and leave his cell door open for an hour or two.
I'm sure the other inmates would love to handle this one.

Hanging is too good for scum like this, but maybe with a little help from inside the burden on the tax payers won't be too lengthy.
May his demise be extremely painful.

If I were to truly say what I feel on here it would be instantly reportable.
I have been following this from beginning to end and yes Mark Bridger has been found guilty but this will bring little comfort to April's parents who will spend the rest of their lives never knowing what really happened to their child and where or how her body was disposed of and will spend a lifetime imagining her last moments.
I think the death penalty is the easy way out for someone like him and he should serve a life sentence without parole and live in fear constantly having to look over his shoulder.

after all he's not there to be punished as we keep being told.
Who keeps telling us that?

I hope he drops his soap in the shower. X-(

I too have followed this whole story from April first going missing to the unravelling of events in court today and I have to admit I am quite upset.
Yes, it's good that a suspect has been proven guilty and will serve life for his crime. For once life really will mean life and it seems he's only the 37th person ever to be sentenced as such.
But, at the end of the day I still have some kind of primitive inside feeling that this is still too good for him. He'll probably be locked away in some kind of protected solitary confinement for his own protection and allowed to live out his sentence at the expense of everyday folk and tax payers.
Just imagine what April's parents and family are feeling right now. How do they go home and even try to carry on with their lives? Until 1st October they had a 5 year old daughter who they obviously loved and, suddenly, no more.
Life is just too good for scum like this, but so is a quick and easy way out.
May he suffer a long and painful demise and, although I'm in no way at all religious, "may he rot in hell afterwards" comes immediately to mind.
I just hope that what I consider true justice will be done whilst he's in prison, whether it be in the showers or other areas, may the prison guards see sense and accidentally let him out for a break and walk at a relevant time whilst they take a long tea-break.

The success of which can be seen with the likes of Robert Thompson and Jon Venables!

Don't punish... rehabilitate...
That's only part of the process, there is also punishment, retribution and incapacitation.
How would you define punishment, I would have thought that anybody would regard spending the rest of their life with no freedom and having to do what others tell them for 24 hours of every day, as a ghastly prospect.
Just think what that means.

Perhaps the other inmates could 'befriend' him and help jog his memory as to what happened to her.]:)

Thompson and Venables are not paedophiles though, or are they?
I thought it was near impossible to rehabilitate a paedophile.

Venables is and is now locked up indefinitely.
