Some of those comments are very valid particularly about changing things for changes sake.
There is absolutely no need to move something for no reason and trotting out the usual response to criticism by saying that it "enhances the user experience" and that user comments are favourable are never backed up by showing the actual user responses.
Asking for user responses is often by loaded or closed questions so that isn't a completely free and honest way of seeking comments.
Long term users will have "seen it all before" and you have to wonder why "they never learn"?
It's not long since the last platform change and I wonder how many things we'll have to figure out or won't work all over again?
Last time some of us spent hours figuring things out and now that "The Next Generation Board" has become the "Community Board" perhaps it ought to be changed back again? B-)
Whenever there's a change and criticism is levelled, even if valid, the usual response is "Oh, some miseries resent changes of any sort". Yes, true to a certain extent but riding roughshod over posters and ignoring everything they say isn't "nice" is it?
Were I "in charge" (OK, OK, I hear you say Heaven forbid) I'd be asking the techie whizz kids "Prove to me how the changes you're proposing will earn me more money than the changes are costing".
When they can't prove that their proposed changes were cost effective I'd say "YOU'RE FIRED" B-)
