Are you pressing the Left ALT key? The right one doesn't do it.

Now it works, with num lock on - they only show after I release ALT
and you can colour and size afterwards...

The font family doesn't seem to work with Firefox for me but does in IE8... in preview anyway until I get confirmation from someone 
Why is that I wonder? I've allowed flash & turned off Adblock+
Well reverted back to Firefox and the symbols I posted are showing as 'Hello'
