Council Demolishing Blocks of Flats

Not sure if it is official or not, but my friend has heard that her block and two others nearby are being demolished.

60 flats in each block.

The reasons are, they are too close to a petrol filling station, (which was built after the flats were), and too close to a school (risk of peeping toms with binoculars)

Seems silly to me, when the council is always saying there is a shortage of housing.

Very unlikely to be true unless of course the council were planning to demolish them anyway.

That is what I thought.  I have told my friend not to listen to neighbourhood gossip and wait until she receives something official.
