Hello to all our old friends and newcomers alike. Welcome to Bill & Charlie's Bar - the place to meet other posters and to sit and chat while you sample your favourite tipple. Plenty to drink, lots of joking but alas no smoking.

We are open all hours (hic) and run a respectable Bar. (Although I argued with Charlie until I was blue in the face over that one!) No swearing, spitting or drun..drunk...drunken beeeehaviour (hic). We have a couple of bouncers to hand ~ she comes in on Friday nights.

Teetotallers are welcome and will be treated as normal. I jest ~ soft drinks are available at the bar along with light snacks. And finally, please use the emergency exit when Bill rambles on about the good ol' days and put plugs in your ears when Charlie 'sings'.

I was getting ready for an all night/weekend party! Was going to leave before midnight but I felt I was in one of those awful dreams when you just can't get going! Had one for real last night when I didn't have my passport.

I was looking forward to it as I haven't caught up with people for ages but finally gave up - I think I'm too pooped!

And what do those dreams mean when you have to get somewhere, but it's like you are wading through treacle, and you have left something important behind - like bag and passport?  Or do you need specific info?  I'm sure they are common to people at various times. I have had a few in my life.  I think I'm bogged down :^O

I can't remember much actually. It only came back to me in a short flashback an hour ago when I was trying to get myself off to a party and just couldn't get it together!

I heard some sad news today. Someone who I have met (don't know well but many of my friends do) - professional cyclist, 40 something, cycling with a friend and killed instantly by a young male driver who apparently didn't see him.  I don't know how you don't see two cylists on an open road if you are looking where you are going. Of course I don't know the circumstances but I do see loads of crazy kids round here driving at mad speeds, music blaring full on. I've had to jump out of the way with the dog before, and one kid demolished 15ft of wall near me, on a wide open road with nothing coming the other way.
