This footage of a low-flying sparrowhawk catching a bird (by the Beeb) is amazing, I think. Slow motion shots as well as normal speed. You can see the ripples on the water tank from the air pressure changes as it skims over the top.
Got any favourite short videos of amazing feats by wildlife or man ?

It's hard to believe that Microcosmos movie is twenty years old now, at the time the so called 'Macrovision' technique was ground breaking. The film was nominated for 15 awards and won 8 including the Technical Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. Such filming techniques are quite run of the mill these days but back then it was considered way ahead of its time.
Glad you enjoyed them

How do you insert a Youtube link?
Thanks in advance

Open youtube in a separate tab then open the video you want to post. Click on the video link in the address bar top left and it will turn blue, then right click on it and select copy. Open the reply box on here, click in the empty space then right click and select paste.
That should do it

Some great videos there.
I would still zap that mosquito though!
Here's a crazy man wearing a wingsuit heading through a gap in a rock at high speed. These guys are very brave and nuts!

He did it once too often, he was killed last month.

Sorry to hear that. Still I guess he knew the risks. I'm not sure that I would trust the suit.

It's any sort of flying, overconfidence leads to mistakes. Familiarity breeds contempt.
If you're going to fly, you have to be methodical and doing the sort of flying he did means there's little margin for error.

Looks like this one (Uli Emanuele) who went through just a 2m wide crevice also died - but not during this crazy stunt
The risks that adenaline junkies will take is extraordinary. I doubt that many will make it to retirement age.

Some call it bravery, some call it stupidity.
What it really is, is complete disrespect and disregard for their own life. Xxx
