I have been helping my Mum clear away unwanted items in her house ready to put the house up for sale as she is downsizing due to my Dad going into a care home.
We have come across his BSA meteor .22 air rifle still boxed and in wonderful nic. Must be about 40 years old as I remember him teaching me how to shoot with it.
I want to know if these types of rifles are worth anything now second hand, and if so where do I go to sell, I know ebay isn't the place due to policy on fire arms and weapons.
Also do you have to be licenced to own one of these things.
If anyone can give any info I would be very grateful, thank you.

Hi,you do not need a licence to own this rifle but I think there is an age threshold.
Would you be interested in selling this rifle as I collect vintage air weapons ,if so how much and where are you?

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply, I have absolutely no knowlege of these things at all, I am trying to find out what type of value it has. If I can find out its true value and what my Mum wants to do with it I shall get intouch via your email addy, thank you.
I am in the West Midlands.
Don't think we can do anything else via these boards so message me if you like.
