Re: complaints

I have been lied too again by ebay. Several times during one issue, product returned and no refund £155.29 ripped off.
I will be reporting to trade standards office the lies i have had from ebay and no refund.
11 years with ebay, I can honestly say I am disgusted, and even worse its not the first time.

Re: complaints

Martin, those of us posting here are just ordinary users just like you.  The only participation by ebay is to remove personal info, no ebay help here.

Good luck.

Re: complaints

Had exactly the same problem. Customer service saying I won't be penalised as it was their technical error the micro payments are not coming through. I have now lost all of my watchers on 76 items and those items on the 80% off variable fees promotion.

Can anyone recommend a platform which isn't so unreasonable?

Pretty sure none of us owe you £80. Perhaps you are chasing ebay?

Don't expect much from the police over a civil matter.

Re: complaints

Ebay provides a money back guarantee service that works in addtion to your legal rights and provides buyers with a way of getting restitution as long as the item is covered and the buyer follows the rules, which include escalating the case and not allowing it to time out.

Where it falls down is where the seller has online proof of delivery but the buyer hasn't got the item.  Unless the buyer can get evidence that the item was misdelivered by the courier, they will lose an ebay item not received case.

What happened to you?

Re: complaints

You are unique ebay either does not have a customer service department or they don't give a toss about their customers. As a seller I have yet to get a reply to an email regarding a decision that they made over refunding a buyer. For an item I sold for £2 they have taken £8.70 straight out of my bank this cannot be right without talking to me!!!!!!!!

What was the postage and what were the fees?  Ebay will take the amount the buyer needs as a refund from your account and if they had to step in they will not credit the fees.  They don't have to ask you, but the DD guarantee does mean they have to tell you in advance what they are taking.

Was this an appeal you submitted via the instructions they gave? And yes that is right without talking to you, as you agreed. The amount you are of course querying - as anyone would. But the ability to take money owed? That you did agree to.

Have you found out how to make a complaint? I have been scammed by a seller and had to pay an extra £11.15 postage because they sent the parcel to the wrong address. The seller kept telling me that he had contacted ebay who had given him the wrong address to send the parcel to, and was waiting to get an answer from them. That was 4 week ago. I have contacted him frequently and each time fobbed off.  I cannot find a way to complain to ebay or put honest feedback against the seller warning other people. Has anyone got any advice please. Thanks. Oh, and there's no obvious way for me to be reimbursed.

If within 30 days of the latest estimated delivery date, open an Item Not Received case.

Over promise, then under deliver = negative buyer experience, INR cases, unhappy buyers and sellers.
Under promise, then over deliver = Positive buyer experience, joy and happiness all round.
If only eBay could get their heads round this basic concept, this would be a happier place for all.

Re: complaints

The obvious way to be reimbursed is to use the eBay Money Back Guarantee which is on every listing.
