Refund on the blocked card

On Monday, my bank card got stuck in an ATM and I couldn't get it back. I immediately blocked the card and ordered a new one.

The problem is, I had returned an item and the refund just came through today to my old, blocked card. I have another return tomorrow that will also be refunded to that blocked card.

I called eBay and they gave me a weird, long transaction number. They said I need to give this to my bank so they can move the refund to my new card.

I'm not sure how this works. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't understand how my bank can use that code from eBay to get the money onto my new card.

Contact your Bank/Card issuer --- Monies will usually be held awaiting instructions.

Provided the bank account attached to the card is still active then the refunds should still be processed as normal without you actually having to do anything.

Calling your bank first would have given you more accurate information.   Ebay probably think you have changed account not just the card.
