Red Banner for Open Issue — But No Actual Issue on My Account (Over 30 Days, No Solution)

Hello eBay Community,I’m reaching out for help because I’ve had a persistent problem on my eBay account for over 30 days now, and despite multiple attempts to contact eBay Customer Service, there has been no resolution.

Here’s the situation:

  • A red banner appears on my account saying I need to resolve an open issue.

  • However, when I click on “View Message,” there is nothing shown, and I don’t see any actual issues on my account.

  • My account is fully verified, and everything appears to be in good standing.

  • I’ve contacted eBay support multiple times, and I’ve had more than 3 IT tickets opened — but there have been no updates or fixes so far.

This issue is preventing me from using my account normally, and it's very frustrating not to receive any clear communication or progress.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any other way to escalate this issue or contact the right team?Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

I'm seeing a red banner on my eBay account saying there's an open issue, but when I click to view it, there's nothing. My account is fully verified and working normally. It's been over 30 days, and support hasn't fixed it multiple IT tickets opened, no updates. Also, I see an HTML code showing in my payment section which looks like a system error. Please help! Thank !

Yes, other Sellers were reporting this last week and eBay told them it was a glitch. If it is adversely affecting your account, you could request a callback this morning from CS:

This account is new,  with no selling activity showing.  The warning may be that you have not fukly or correctly registered with eBay's Managed Payments.  All sellers have to register for this to be able to list items for sales,  and receive payouts from those sales.

 

You need to provide eBay with details of a bank account and have this account verified.  The usual method here, is for eBay to send 2 micro deposits into that nominated bank account for you to receive,  and confirm to eBay.

Once this is completed,  you will be able to list items for sale,  and receive payouts from those sales.

This will show you how to register for eBay's Managed Payments.

If there is an issue with the registration contact eBay Customer Services,  who have full access to your account,  and can see where the issue lies and explain the steps you now need to take.

I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
