Hi, 

I was suspended from marketplace last year for trying to sell a teliscopic sight, at that time I didn't realise that this type of item was something that I was not aloud to sell on there.

Does anyone know how long the suspention will last or how I could apply to have the suspention lifted.

You obviously have not been banned [or you could not post here] but there may be an "indefinite" [i e "forever"] restriction on selling.  They should have told you. 

If you ring customer service they may inform you. 

If it is indefinite then there is no appeal I'm afraid and no way round it.
