received compensation from Packlink have I lost money

I sold an item for 7.16 + postage 4.36 (11.52) and only spent 9.96 (item cost 3.99 + fees 1.15 & 0.63 + shipping 4.19) so think I made a profit of 1.56.

Unfortunately the item got lost in the post so I had to refund buyer 11.52. I have recevied compenstation for 7.16 (how much item was brought for) + 4.19 (price I paid for postage) as well as ebay fees of 1.15. 

Paypal processing fee was 0.63 which I am not getting back

I think I am now 8.98 out of pocket

Please can someone tell me if this is correct or not.

Not sure why you think that? Surely your only out of pocket for the PayPal  fees?

@gindygoo buyer paid 4.36 for postage and I refunded them but this money has not been returned to me

You said you were refunded £7.16 + £4.19 Postage, so only lost 17p on postage + paypal fees.

YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND, buyer paid me 11.52 I then paid 4.19 for postage. Buyer requested refund so I refunded them 11.52. At this point 11.52 AND 4.19 have left my Paypal account. i am then promised 7.16 + 4.19 because my parcel got lost. I am now out of pocket 4.36
