payment for an item by cheque

Hi all,

I've got a couple of items for sale and I've requested payment via PayPal. However a buyer has contacted me asking if they can pay by cheque. I am considering this but how can I change the listing to allow payment by cheque OR PayPal? No one has bid as yet

Am I right in thinking that eBay won't know I've been paid unless it goes through PayPal, or can I enter payment received manually?

Will I get the option to enter payment received manually if pay by PayPal is the only option?

Cheers, Cliff

Buyer can send you a cheque, you wait until it clears before posting item,

you then mark item as paid for.

Buyer will not have any ebay MBG, so all in your favour.

It is rare nowadays for buyer wanting to pay by cheque but it is fine.

Once you receive the cheque you wait for the payment to clear and then post

You dont pay any fees on paypal

The buyer has no ebay money back guarantee

Once you receive the money and it has cleared you mark it as Paid and Dispatched under More actions or on the Seller hub under Orders
