You buy your products on Alibaba, and pay VAT and possiby import tax when the goods enter the UK, plus the carrier's admin fee for collecting the taxes on the government's behalf. You then list the products on Ebay.
And as you're planning to list products, you're clearly a business, so you need to upgrade your account from private to business. Not only an Ebay requirement, but the law. Private accounts are only for those selling off their old no-longer-wanted possessions from wardrobe and attic. Go to Ebay's Seller Centre for confirmation (link at foot of any page). you purchase from the seller [if they post to UK] and when it arrives HMRC [customs] decide if they charge import duty, which you have to pay.
Of course HMRC might decide that you cannot import said item to UK.
