Hello, I am trying to list my very first item for sale and I am having trouble with setting up worldwide shipping on eBay Ireland. When I select worldwide shipping, it asks me to select flat rate shipping or select shipping with An Post, courier etc and then it asks me to enter the price of worldwide shipping. It gives me no option to list different shipping prices for different countries even when I don't select flat flat shipping. I have also set preferences in my settings as to which which countries I will ship to (there is obviously a lot of restrictions due to Covid-19) but when I go to list my item and none of the shipping restrictions I set come up, it shows that I ship to every country in the world! In the help section of eBay Ireland it tells you to set up shipping tables and tells you the actions to follow to do this but none of the options it tells you to select are available on eBay Ireland but they are available on eBay UK. I have checked eBay UK and you appear to be able to set shipping tables, restrictions and a lot of other things that are not available on eBay Ireland. Can someone that uses eBay Ireland please advise me as I have spent all weekend reading the help section but I cannot figure it out.
thank you in advance,
J
You will need to get some quick sales and feedback by selling within your own Country. It does seem daft, but you would not even be able to sell across the border to Northern Ireland until you have the first 10 sales.
In a way it is sensible, it gives you the opportunity to learn and minimises the expense of any mistakes. Don't worry we all make mistakes, but if selling outside your own Country what with postage being more expensive it also means that mistakes cost more.
Good luck and have fun with your selling, you will meet some good buyers.
I don't think you can sell internationally until you have 10 sales within your own country.
Also if you are opted into GSP, then you can't quote international postage as you only have to post to local GSP centre, see here for info, assumung UK irish site is same as UK.
You are asking on eBay UK.....there are no eBay staff here I'm afraid....is there not a community on the eBay.ie platform you can ask
