Hi
I am attempting to sell 2 items, one an old calcualtor and one an old handheld translator.
I tried to put them in at auction price starting at £2.99, but was told via a message at the top i was unable to sell them as these items are "susceptible to price gouging" and "may be sold only by authorized sellers".
I had never heard of price gouging so had to look it up! But surely if im putting in at such a low price thats not price gouging?
Secondly, what is meant by an "authorized seller"? ive sold many items on ebay before with no problems.
Ultimately, is there any way i can list these items?
Many thanks!
All I can think is that you were trying to list them in the wrong category. Items can only be sold in certain categories by authorized business sellers.
Ebay has very strict rules about this, especially since Covid brought a whole raft of profiteers and unregistered business sellers out from under their slimy rocks bearing massively overpriced handgel, masks, bleach, and so much more.
