HI does anyone know what has happended to the £1 selling fee offer that eBay has been offering every two weeks.
I know it usually appears either on a Friday or a Sunday, and wold normally have happended last week but nothing....
Has it now ended this offer for private sellers I wonder?
it has been put on hold during the crisis, ebay don't want to be seen encouraging people to make unecessary journeys to the post office
You appear to be an unregistered business seller
Private sellers are supposed to sell their unwanted stuff from attic or wardrobe NOT all new surplus stuff you have bought for a shop!..
It's possible that they've been concentrating on coronovirus updates, dealing with profiteerers etc recently, and maybe they don't wish to encourage sellers to sell while the current crisis is ongoing.
Who knows?
Ebay need to cover their losses somehow.
If sellers wish to list then they still have the many free listings per month that they usually get, only difference is that Ebay will take more than the £1 max FVF for all items over £10 sold.
Doing away with the £1 max FVF offer guides people towards listing at a possible higher FVF or not selling at all.It gives Ebay a chance of an income everything considered.
It would'nt surprise me if they reduced or cancelled the free listings altogether for a while.
If they wanted to be considerate re sellers going out to post etc they could have just hit the pause button.
