Manage active listings no longer has the Summary at the top - showing at a glance Bids, Watchers, Questions etc
I have 2 Ebay accounts. One has the Summary at the top of Manage Active listings - shows number of bids, watchers etc. The other used to but now doesn't - I now have to click on the filter buttons - drop down to get information.
How do I reinstate the Summary?

They seem very indifferent.
eBay's Anita still hasn't responded to my message/live post to her and eBay complaining about all the recent changes that have occurred lately after me posting it on this thread a week ago ? 😞
It seems like eBay's attitude is to just ingnore their user's feedback and complaints which is very bad show.

I use to get the full summary (no. bids, no. watches, total value of bids, etc).
Then I got nothing other than total value of listed items.
I complained here a while ago.
In the last few days I notice I now at least get total value of bids as well as total value of listings.
So it seems there at least 3 different versions of the "summary" in operation. Crazy!!

Only 3 versions? eBay on holiday or something? I would expect at least 20 random beta layouts at any given time!

I can't search by quantity or filter by missing best offers, which is frustrating and causing me to lose potential sales.

Well, it seems Ebay can't leave things alone. My Summary on the Active Listings page has disappeared again! After re-instating it (thank you Anita), Ebay now seems intent on introducing their new layout and have removed it again - I very nearly missed a sale.
How many people are happy with the new layout (minus the Summary)?
Can we have an option to opt out of the new 'filter based' layout? With all Ebay's tech experts this should surely be an easy fix.

It would seem not rainbowtrax. Ebay have just changed my Active Listings page back again to their new 'Filter based' look.

Please add me to the list for the Tech team or get me off this ridiculous trial

Was the fix posted here? I haven't seen it.

I've just had a lengthy conversation with an eBay customer assistant about this. After emailing him proof that the opening summary pages on my two eBay accounts were different (he initially insisted they were the same), he claimed that the next time I 'update' my account, it will start not having the summary page with bids, watchers, etc. I asked why I would want to update to something that makes my eBay selling experience much worse and what he meant by 'update'? He wasn't able to satisfactorily answer that. Bottom line is that it appears to have gone. Yet more eBay bollox.

Hello Anita
You will be aware the changes to the 'summary' opening page. I would be grateful if you could restore the original summary page on my blossom152 account. I have just had a fruitless customers ervices exchamnge with one of your colleagues about this matter, which is very frustrating. If the original 'summary' page is not restored, I will have to consider closing my account and selling elsewhere (the decision to make the number of free monthly listings from 1000 to 300 is another factor in this).
Thank you

Anita no longer works on this section
See the reply from Kat here https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Selling-Tools/Change-to-Manage-Active-Listings-layout/m-p/7664395#M1... They cannot revert to the old system, leave your feelings on the new system via feedback.

Looks like ebay have rollled this out to all users or are in the process of doing so. My All Selling page changed to the new layout on 02/10/2024 and it is a step backwards, not an improvement in my opinion. Having an at-a-glance summary of key information such as number of items with offers, with bids, with watchers etc was SO useful!
I imagine whoever designed the new look never actually used the old one themselves. How can they think it is now more efficeint when it requires more clicks to find the info one wants!

Quite agree blossom152. All the recent changes are steps backwards - crowing on about selling for free, i.e. no final valuation fees but at the same time reducing 1000 free listings to 300 (paying listing fees on the remaining 700).
It will be interesting to see if our sales as 'private sellers' are affected when Ebay introduces Buyers' fees (taxes?) in the UK early in 2005.
Can anyone recommend a good auction site?

This doesn't work at all. I've followed this suggestion and left feedback. As a previous member has said on this thread (sorry can't remember who) leaving feedback is a complete waste of time.

Lets face it that the original designers who designed eBay back in the mid 1990's did a great job compared to these just out of school kids who don't have a clue how an online selling platform works, let alone know how to improve on the last all selling page design which originally used to show everything a seller could possibly need at one glance and all on the SAME PAGE.

@c-foreman-2008 wrote:Also, the New update of Manage Active Listings does not have a countdown clock on the page for items finishing in auctions. The only way of knowing is to click on each listed item to see when it's finishing. Why can't eBay sort things out before they launch new updates? It's always down to sellers to tell eBay about issues on the site, but do they take any notice, not really.
That's because all the hot shots who are in charge of eBay and who are behined all these awful updates have never actually lowered themselves to sell anything online !... with all their wealth... why on earth would they need to ?... so they really don't have a clue what sellers and buyers actually want !
The eBay of today looks like it was designed by 6th formers who are just out of school !... clearly employed by the big shots of eBay who have no time for anything or give a hoot !, hence no body listens to our complaints and feedback on here 😞

I would prefer a return to the previous summary display, like so many others.
Failing that, an ability to choose the buttons available below the "Manage active listings" heading would allow us to see what is useful to us. For example, I never ever use "send offers - elegible", but I WOULD very often use "Listings with bids", which they have chosen not to offer at all. This is not even available on the "Listing activity" drop-down, which is baffling. The only conclusion I can draw is that Ebay want to move away from being an auction site to being just a regular shopping site.
Also the wording on the buttons is very long-winded, so less screen real estate for useful information is available.

Seems the testing is still ongoing as my account has lost the Listings page summary and search in the last week, this is not a positive change for the ebay Listing page and would request ebay reinstate the original behaviour as soon as possible.
