eBay's upload template, Error - Input data for tag Item.ShippingDetails is invalid or missing

Help needed.

I have been using the eBay Excel upload template for years. It always worked and is great as I sell domestic appliances used spare parts and I have built up a collection of template for most of the main models (the base excel template was from around 2021). This makes listing each new batch very quick and easy as I use a excel template I've used before.

I had a new model so decided in January 2026 to use the latest version excel template from the ebay.co.uk site. I filled in all the columns I needed but it always fails when I try to upload / list the items. I get the message:

ErrorCode 37 Error - Input data for tag <Item.ShippingDetails> is invalid or missing. Please check API documentation.|Item.ShippingDetails|

I have searched eBay and Google for a solution but just can't solve the problem. I have tried deleting various columns which I thought might be causing the problem, changing things and, over the last two weeks, tried all the suggestions other have posted online (most from the USA). There is a lot of confusion and contradictory information out there.

I have, on the 2021 templates used UK_OtherCourier48 but many posts say location for the UK should use the letters GB. I have tried both but no luck. I want to offer buyers OtherCourier48 + OtherCourier24 + LocalPickup

There is no 'up to date' / 'UK' list of options for each dropdown column. That would make life so much easier.

eBay.co.uk have been switching private sellers to simplified delivery which has been a disaster for sellers. The buyer pays for basic delivery, but it doesn't include my time and cost to package up the items, often large and heavy in custom made packaging, or the time to drop them off to the local drop of shop which is 5Km / 4miles each way. Since its introduction sales have dropped noticeably. I think they are trying to compete with Vinted who only sell used cloths normally sent in plastic bags. I'm not sure if 'simplified delivery' might have an effect.

Below is a photo of my template (first column is VerifyAdd not Add to check it rather than listing the item), can anyone tell me how to get this template to list the item(s) rather keep failing?

This way of listing could be so useful to many if ebay made it more user friendly.

I've just downloaded the current UK shipping details table and the following are all correct:

UK_OtherCourier24
UK_OtherCourier48
UK_CollectInPerson
PickUpDropOff (=click and collect)

There are 253 shipping services and some do start with GB (but no underscore). I've never used any of these.

By the way you can try out a listing using "Add" if you add a column "ScheduleTime" containing a future date (about 21 days max) in the format "2026-12-31 23:59:59". This will create a scheduled listing if there are no errors. If you delete it before it goes live there is no charge.

It isn't much help to show a picture of the data file. If you can't get it to work could you make a test file available online and I'll give it a whirl. I've used "Transfernow" to do this in the past - free and no registration necessary.
