When is Simple Delivery Actually Going To Become Mandatory

Still unsure when this Simple Delivery is Mandatory. Read it started on the 4th April and then the 15th mentioned. Then the 26th and then the 28th April. Now the 29th, non of my listings changed over and custom postage still available a couple of days ago. Is there a glitch as I do put collection as an option together with RM48.

Nope,  it's not a glitch just I think a badly worded announcement,  I think the announcement should have read will be rolled out from the 15th, to become mandatory for all Private sellers.

Some members are only now seeing Simple Delivery for postage,  others still able to use Custom Postage.

More reports arriving that with  existing listings,  eBay are automatically changing the postage there to SD.

When it becomes mandatory for all , is anyone's guess, but it will come,  there's no avoiding it !

This was original announcement:

"Starting from 7 April, Simple Delivery will apply to your existing live listings that are eligible, so you can enjoy more protections and benefits. If you selected buyer-paid postage, this will stay the same when your listings are updated. If you’re covering the costs, they’ll be deducted from your sales. Please note that in both cases, the costs may change.

This change may mean that you’ll be sending your parcel with a different carrier to the one you selected when listing. Once your item sells, we’ll let you know where to drop off your parcel.

Starting from 15 April, Simple Delivery will automatically apply to all new eligible listings."

I thought I'll bite the bullet and give it a try.

I have excluded Evri from my shipping option.

Before I hit the submit button the postage price shows 3.44 on upto 2kg item (I guess its small parcel). After listing the price shows £2.87 as "standasrd delivery" and another price for "express" delivery.

I still don't know whats going on here.

I thought "standard" option was Evri. I have excluded them from the option.

Please someone explain.

PS: I turned my listing back to COLLECTION ONLY.

Untill I am 100% sure, I am not posting ANYTHING.

£2.87 is minus the VAT on £3.44.

If only RM option standard means RM Tracked 48
