I sell a few items to USA using Global Shipping and wondering if anyone is aware as to whether the 10% tariff will be applicable to private sales and if so will it be added and collected by Ebay.? If it is payable and Global Shipping isn't used will E Bay still be liable to collect the tax.? May discourage a few of our American cousins from buying.
Solved! Go to Solution.

But they are basically saying if you ship using GSP then they will handle all the taxes, tariffs etc for you.

I cannot imagine how a genuine private seller on ebay UK would feel the need to worry about the trade tariff's that The Donald has introduced into the world's economy. A trader masquerading as a private seller who sells a significant percentage of their goods into a market that only ebay UK can possibly open up to them, maybe.

I can't see how it'll affect UK sellers, its not a sales tax and it's China that the di minimis has been removed for.

Dread to think how much "landfill" 50p with free postage the Chinese will be dumping on us now, 🙄.
Just picturing all those fully laden container ships being diverted at this very moment. 😎
