Don’t delete your account.    It’s a long shot but things could change for the better.

Owners, eBay America can not be happy at the moment.  

A change of management and a shake up in the UK eBay location plus an apology to the UK sellers and buyers for the ridiculous and wasted 12 months is required.

It is sad to see farewell posts from those who have been with eBay for many years. ☹️ 

eBay has introduced too many changes, too quickly... modernising/evolving is all well & good, but it should be possible to do this without alienating droves of original, long-term eBayers.
