Success combining postage

having spent time talking to customer services to combine 3 items , which worked to a certain extent. I paid for label, did not use simple delivery , requested refund. This week asked buyer to put in basket & simple delivery combined automatically. I had to check , no notification to seller it just generated combined label. Previous chat was told I would have to add info to each listing

Yes, me too. Another seller had me put two items in my basket and SD automatically combined P&P. I think the previous chat confusion (thinking SD items don't combine postage) is because at no point in the payment process did eBay display combined P&P. It was only visible afterwards in my Order Details.

Yes, Simple Delivery is now able to automatically combine postage, if the buyer pays for all items in the basket in one visit to the checkout.

Problems arise if the buyer pays for an item, then decides to buy other items, and pays for them separately. Also, the combined Simple Delivery postage price is 'decided' by Simple Delivery, which may not be the price the seller would have chosen to offer.
