Hi. Seller novice here. How do I post a 122x23x23 parcel when Simple Delivery option is mandatory and max size is 65cm? Do I end up paying excess postage at Royal Mail?
When you create your listing in the Delivery Details section there should bea bit that says package size, click on the box underneath this, it’s defaults to what they think it should be. It will then bring up a screen with all the different parcel size options. Scroll down to the bottom and it will say “looking for heavier or larger package options”, then underneath this there is a button to click that says switch to custom postage. Click on this and it will give you the option of adding your own postage choice. Though for some reason you can’t add the package sizes here.
I like many other people who have been using eBay for several years are extremely annoyed by these postage changes ( why change something that was working o.k.? ) I spoke to eBay on the phone recently and asked what are we supposed to do about the cost of packaging as most people are losing out. The answer was add the extra cost to the price of the item! I must say I was very shocked at this reply. Some of my items weigh quite a bit or are long and large and now we are limited to two choices Royal Mail or Evri both of which I have had trouble with in the past. ADMIITEDLY I had been using Royal Mail Tracked 48 recently and it was working fine but now even that choice has been removed. I like hundreds if not thousands of eBay users are very upset with these ridiculous changes and many will not be listing in future.
