Postage labels

With this new managed post, some questions.

1. How do you get labels? I have no printer?

2. Most of my listings are £1, they don’t need tracking, tracked post will make them unsaleable. 3. I refuse to use anyone but Royal Mail, will they be forcing us to use Evri?
4. How do they know somethings delivered, not everyone leaves feedback in fact I’d say the majority don’t.

Re: Postage labels

I think that they are trying to push sellers towards using the new Royal Mail "Tracked 24" and "Tracked 48" services. They are fully tracked and most importantly for Royal Mail do not require a signature, the postman just scans the item as she or he puts it through your door. Of course it is more expensive, so a nice little earner for RM.

The big issue for me is that you either pay for this service online or by buying it at a post office, you cannot use your own stamps. I swapped out loads of stamps when the new barcoded stamps were issued and will now be unable to use them on ebay sales.

As has been said many times before, this is a disaster for the private vendor selling low value items. DISASTER!

If you look at how it works now, that should give you a good idea of how it might work when it's mandatory.

Alternatively, consider whether you should really have a business account, as they are not impacted.

Re: Postage labels

I’ve read more now, so regardless of postage fees (yet to be resolved) the buyer of my item at £1 will pay at least £1.79 plus postage set by eBay. That’s not working!
