Private seller. Sent item to buyer for a bargain I might add £5 was worth at least £15. Postage was £2.94. Went out of my way to send it quickly due to the snow. 4th Jan. Time went by buyer sent a not received notice. Payment on hold. So did the usual went through tracking with Evri. The app said theyve got it. And its never gone further than that. Evri customer service is .... well basically there isnt one. Tried every other day ringing through the app with a stupid AI bot. So my item is lost never to be seen again and Ive had to give a full refund. Lost confidence in selling now. 😒

Did you buy the postage direct from Evri or from Packlink?
If it was Packlink, you have a few days left to submit a claim and they are easy to deal with.

As a buyer I've had a few issues with Evri. I googled about getting compensation before and found lots of posts about no one being able to get anywhere with them. So you're not alone!
In my little experience of selling, Packlink are good with sorting problems. So if you buy postage through eBay then you may have a better experience.

Have you entered the tracking number into the INR? If not, do it now.
If you have confirmation of delivery from EVRi, eBay should rule in your favour and close the INR.
Send the buyer a link with the EVRi confirmation of delivery and the image. It's amazing how often items are found when the buyer is confronted with the delivery details and image.

Find the postage label (email, or there is a way to find it on eBay) and the GB reference should be on that.

On your orders screen on a laptop there is a list of options on the left hand side. If you select postage labels there is a link to your packlink invoices at the top of the page it takes you to. By following that you should be able to get the GB reference.

As a buyer, you shouldn't really need to be chasing Evri for compensation! That is the seller's job. You claim from the buyer via Ebay; the rest is up to the seller.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear in my comment. I was attempting to see if I could get compensation for being messed around (reason below). After reading posts about not even getting anywhere for compensation for lost or damaged items, I gave up trying.
I was waiting on a big box, which included supplies for a party. I received an email saying Hermes (now rebranded as Evri) had attempted delivery and had left it with a neighbour. I was in all day, and they hadn’t left a slip saying which neighbour. I asked all my closest but none of them had it. So I assumed the delivery driver had lied. A few days later someone knocked on my door. A neighbour from 23 had my parcel (I was at 32). They weren’t in, so their next-door neighbour (21) had taken it in. So by the time 21 gave it to 23, and 23 finally realised it was actually meant for me at 32, those party supplies were too late (luckily they weren’t needed, just meant we had less than ideal). It was an inconvenience for all involved, all because the Hermes driver messed up.
Then a few weeks later, I was in my garden and a delivery driver asked me to take in a parcel for my next-door neighbour. I accepted it, and the driver quickly left. It was obvious is was a baby changing mat. I thought that strange for my neighbour to be ordering, and when I checked the label it was for number 34, but for the next street! And of course it was Hermes again. Most likely the same delivery driver. So more messing around because their driver(s) can’t do their job properly.
I try and avoid Evri, if I can, as they seem to damage (squash) parcels quite frequently as well. I’ve rarely had that issue with Royal Mail.
To be fair, the last 2 Evri delivery drivers in my area (they do change quite often) do seem okay. But they all seem rushed. That would make sense as I'm told Evri delivery drivers are self employed, and it can be difficult to do enough deliveries per hour to get a fair wage.

I have bought something last week but they delivered the wrong item. And it wasn't the first time I had issues, far from it, but this was the last straw. From now on, when using eBay I will only buy from sellers who don't ship with Evri.
