No payment

I’ve been waiting for a payment from a sale, and after calling eBay many times, they admitted it’s a technical issue on their side. My bank and card details are all correct, but the payout still hasn’t been sent. They asked me to use another my other card is Amex, ad they suggested I used someone else’s.

What’s frustrating is that I’ve now been told my complaint has been closed, even though the money is still outstanding. I don’t understand how they can close the case while the issue hasn’t been resolved. Also why am I being charged VAT.

Has anyone else had this happen? What else can I do to get eBay to actually release my payment?

Any advice or next steps would be really appreciated.

You have to withdraw payments now, they are only sent automatically 4 times a year.

They have to be withdrawn into a bank account you have registered with ebay.

When you sell, Ebay collect payment and pay it into your Ebay account, then you have to withdraw it to your registered bank account.

If you have not registered your UK bank account, you won't be able to withdraw your funds.

If you're new to selling on eBay, see our pages below for more information:
